Public consultation on content for the 2011 Census opened on 30 May 2008 and resulted in 105 submissions being received by Statistics New Zealand. Submissions were made by government agencies, health boards, non-government organisations, academics, researchers and individuals. Public consultation closed on 14 July 2008.
Statistics NZ would like to thank everyone who made submissions. Consultation is a critical element of content development and enables Statistics NZ to better understand what keeps the census useful, real and relevant for all New Zealanders.
