As part of Statistics New Zealand’s ongoing endeavour to deliver a better web experience we have made a change to our website, based on your feedback. Be assured that the content has not changed and your bookmarks will continue to work.
What is the change?
We have made a change to how the Statistics NZ homepage's content appears on smartphones. The redesign makes our site's content more usable on your smartphone. While we tested the change thoroughly to ensure the new layout functions for different smartphones, we cannot guarantee it is optimised for every device.
New design

We are interested in your feedback, and your ideas on how we can improve the layout further. Please send all feedback to info@stats.govt.nz.
Why have we made this change?
We have a growing number of smartphone users who access our website. We know your requirements as a smartphone user differ from those of the desktop user.
When did it change?
We released the new layout for smartphones on 27 January 2012.
How does this affect you?
When you access the Statistics NZ website on a smartphone, you will see the same content, but in a slightly different layout. You will not see the promotional images on the home page, but you will see the graphs. You will not be able to access Infoshare, but you will be able to download Excel tables in the information releases.
