Formal review of Statistics NZ
Statistics NZ was reviewed by the State Services Commission as part of a central agency initiative to help senior leaders drive performance improvement across the State Services. The Performance Review Framework was released on 12 October 2011.
The review provides an independent assessment of Statistics NZ's performance, and identifies priority areas for action. The framework is based on international private and public sector performance improvement models, and has been tailored for the New Zealand State Services.
Over 10 New Zealand government departments have been reviewed using this framework to date.
