What it's about

Demographic Trends 2006 includes information on population change and structure, fertility, marriage, divorce, mortality, external migration, subnational populations, induced abortions, and national and subnational demographic projections of the New Zealand population. A special article entitled "New Zealand’s life expectancies on a world stage: a cohort perspective” compares New Zealand’s historical trends in cohort life expectancy with those of other countries, and draws from the report A History of Survival in New Zealand: Cohort life tables 1876–2004.
