Latest seasonally adjusted movements in the Retail Trade Survey compared with ECT data, as first published:
- retail trade sales increased 1.1 percent in August 2009
- retail ECT series increased 0.2 percent in August 2009
- core retail trade sales increased 1.2 percent in August 2009
- core retail ECT series increased 0.1 percent in August 2009.
Latest movement in the Food Price Index:
- the Food Price Index fell 0.7 percent in September 2009.
Latest movement in the Consumers Price Index:
- the Consumers Price Index rose 1.3 percent in the September 2009 quarter.
Latest movement in credit card billings, as issued by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand:
- credit card billings decreased 4.2 percent in September 2009 compared with September 2008.
