Institutional Sector Accounts – information releases

These releases provide production, income and outlay, and capital accounts for the six sectors that together form the institutional sector accounts. These six sectors are: non-financial corporations, financial corporations, government, non-profit institutions serving households, households, and the rest of the world.

The detailed and inter-related information contained in the Institutional Sector Accounts (ISAs) will inform studies on the source and disposal of incomes, income distribution, the origin of savings, savings behaviour, capital investment and its financing, the financial dimensions of globalisation, government expenditure, and taxation. Other accounts – such as gross domestic product by industry, input/output tables, and the balance of payments – can be directly linked to the ISAs. This information is necessary to make informed economic and monetary policy decisions.
