The capital goods price index (CGPI) was unchanged in the September 2011 quarter.
The main highlights this quarter were:
- the price index for civil construction was up 0.8 percent.
- the residential building construction price index was up 0.7 percent.
- the non-residential building construction price index was up 0.4 percent, with higher prices for relocatable buildings.
- the price index for land improvements was up 1.4 percent, with higher prices for land clearing.
- the transport equipment prices were up 0.3 percent, with prices for cars unchanged, commercial vehicles down, and trailers up.
- the plant, machinery, and equipment price index was down 1.5 percent, with lower prices for computer equipment and for structural metal products.
The September 2011 quarter CGPI was also unchanged when compared with the September 2010 quarter.
