In June 2011 compared with May 2011:
- Food prices rose 1.4 percent.
- Fruit and vegetable prices rose 12.2 percent.
- Grocery food prices rose 0.7 percent.
- Restaurant meals and ready-to-eat food prices rose 0.5 percent.
- Non-alcoholic beverage prices rose 0.2 percent.
- Meat, poultry, and fish prices fell 3.2 percent.
From June 2010 to June 2011:
- Food prices increased 7.5 percent. This includes a 2.2 percent rise in food prices in October 2010, when the rate of goods and services tax (GST) rose from 12.5 to 15 percent.
