In October 2012 compared with September 2012:
- Food prices fell 0.6 percent.
- Fruit and vegetable prices fell 5.5 percent.
- Restaurant meals and ready-to-eat food prices fell 0.5 percent.
- Meat, poultry, and fish prices rose 0.1 percent.
- Non-alcoholic beverage prices rose 0.5 percent.
- Grocery food prices rose 0.5 percent.
From October 2011 to October 2012:
- Food prices increased 0.3 percent.
