On 30 April 2010 Statistics New Zealand and the Injury Prevention Network of Aotearoa New Zealand (IPNANZ) held an engagement workshop with community injury prevention practitioners.
Community practitioners provide a significant perspective on all areas of injury information from the creation and analysis of data, through to the implementation of injury prevention activities. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss how they use injury information, and what improvements to current injury collections would further aid their use of the data.
A set of injury information priorities emerged from the discussion. These are detailed in the attached document.
