International guest nights drive September increase
Highlights
Compared with September 2008:
Total guest nights were 3 percent higher.
International guest nights were up 8 percent, while domestic guest nights were up less than 1 percent.
Eleven of the 12 regions had more guest nights.
Otago and Canterbury recorded the largest increases, driven by international guest nights.
All four accommodation types had more guest nights, led by hotels.
