Expenditure classification changes between the Household Economic Survey 2006/07 and 2009/10
Expenditure
- Some item-level codes have been removed by combining with other codes as they have not had any expenditure recorded to them for at least two of the last Household Economic Survey (HES) releases (once as a New Zealand Household Expenditure Classification (NZHEC) code and at least once as an item reference number (IRN) code).
- New codes have been created by splitting from ‘not elsewhere classified’ (nec) codes, as the item expenditure contribution has reached a stage where it warrants a separate code.
- A few codes have been removed due to the expenditure no longer being in scope of the HES.
- A couple of codes have been renamed due to real world changes and in scope changes.
