Statistics NZ will no longer publish the survey of English Language Providers (ELP) release. We will still measure the spending of international students on tuition fees for English language courses, recorded as exports of 'travel services' in the balance of payments. All spending on tuition fees by international students, including those studying English, is now sourced from the Ministry of Education's Export Education Levy Statistics. This move to using an administrative data set will save over 450 hours of respondent time each year.
