International Travel and Migration: June 2012

In June 2012 compared with June 2011:

• Visitor arrivals (151,100) were up 19,800. The biggest changes were in arrivals from:
  • Australia (up 15,900) 
  • China (up 3,000).
• Overseas trips by New Zealand residents (221,100) were up 28,600. The biggest changes were in departures to:
  • Australia (up 6,800)
  • the United States (up 4,600)
  • the United Kingdom (up 2,100).

In June 2012:

• Seasonally adjusted figures showed a net gain of 500 migrants.
