Index of key New Zealand statistics

Statistics New Zealand's international accounts statistics provide a record of New Zealand’s economic transactions with the rest of the world.

Balance of payments current account data show the country's international trade in goods, services, income, and transfers each quarter. Balance of payments financial account data measure the the flows of foreign investment into New Zealand, and the flows of New Zealand investment abroad each quarter.

International investment position data show New Zealand's financial balance sheet with the rest of the world at a point in time. They show the stock of New Zealand's investment abroad, foreign investment in New Zealand, and the net position.

Available series include New Zealand's direct and portfolio investment relationships, other borrowing and lending, such as loans, deposits, and trade finance), official sector reserve assets, and financial derivative assets and liabilities.

Other series show the levels of gross and net overseas debt, the type of instruments and the currencies in which the lending and borrowing are held, and the residual maturity of the lending and borrowing.
