Regional experiences

Regional differences across the country affected how people experienced 2012. Changes in the make-up of our tourism industry altered which regions were explored, our two largest cities showed differences in their approach to the film and television industries, and in Christchurch the recovery effort continued – following the large and destructive earthquakes of 2010 and 2011.
