Cultural experiences

The Cultural Experiences Survey was a one-off survey in 2002 of New Zealand residents aged 15 and over. It gives information about New Zealanders' participation in and consumption of cultural activities.

Participation includes attending live performances, listening to radio, watching television, reading books and magazines, and buying cultural goods (like books, CDs and artwork).

Activites surveyed include Māori culture, heritage, libraries, literature, performing arts, visual arts, film and video and broadcasting.
