Building work put in place
Building Work Put in Place data estimates the gross dollar value of actual building work done on residential and non-residential buildings.
Measured quarterly, it was introduced in 1965 to supplement building consent information and to give a more accurate economic indicator of building activity.
Information is gathered in a survey of construction work for which a building consent has been issued.
