These datasets provide information about the general health status of New Zealanders, as well as the incidence of disability, the rate of induced abortions and the financial performance of publicly funded health services.

The abortions dataset records the annual number and rate of induced abortions.

The disability statistics dataset records the prevalence and nature of long-term disabilities in New Zealand. The information is gathered in a 5-yearly survey, the latest of which was conducted in 2006.

The district health board financial statistics dataset record the financial performance of publicly-funded hospitals and health services. A Hot off the Press on this dataset is released quarterly.

The health statistics dataset records information about New Zealanders' health status gathered from the New Zealand Health Survey (NZHS). This survey is conducted approximately every 3 years and is managed by the Ministry of Health. The most recent NZHS was fielded from October 2006 for one year, and results are expected to be released in 2008.
