Economic indicators available from Statistics New Zealand include statistics from the National Accounts, including the gross domestic product (GDP), the consumers price index (CPI, used to calculate the inflation rate), unemployment rate, balance of payments (BOP, shows New Zealand's financial transactions with the rest of the world), overseas trade indexes, and statistics measuring imports and exports, overseas cargo, overseas debt, and the labour market.
