Environment

New Zealand’s Environmental Reporting Series gives you information on the state of our environment, the pressures that influence this state, and the impacts this state has on our ecological integrity, public health, economic benefits derived from using natural resources, and culture and recreation.

Environmental-economic accounts use statistics to give you information about the stock, value, and state of our natural resources. We also provide information on which industries use them.

Environmental Reporting Series

These reports provide information on the five domains of our environment: air, atmosphere and climate, fresh water, land, and marine – and the cross-domain area of biodiversity. The reports are produced jointly with the Ministry for the Environment.

Environmental economic accounts

These reports explore how the environment and the economy interact. They complement traditional measures of economic activity such as gross domestic product.
