This article describes the flow of wood-related products through the New Zealand economy. It is divided into the different stages of wood processing, ie how one wood product is turned into another. It also presents information about the production and consumption of wood-related products on an industry basis. In addition, there is more detailed analysis of a selected number of representative industries using the new 2003 estimates of wood product use in New Zealand.
