Sustainable development

Sustainable development was defined in 1987 by the World Commission of Environment and Development as “development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs".

The choices we make today can affect our economy, environment, society and the cultures of different people, now and in the future. Progress towards sustainable development requires us to takes into account all the different economic, social and environmental aspects so that we can choose the best long-term path to maintain and improve our quality of life.
