What is the average weekly or hourly wage?
If you want a job-level measure of the average weekly or hourly wage, the Quarterly Employment Survey is the most appropriate source. A job-level measure will tell you how much money is earnt from wages and salaries per job rather than per individual.

If you want a person-level measure of the average weekly or hourly wage, the New Zealand Income Survey is the best source. A person-level measure will tell you how much an individual earns from wages and salaries, regardless of the number of jobs worked by that individual.
