Highlights


  • Seasonally adjusted merchandise export volumes fell 3.7 percent.
  • Dairy products and casein were the main contributors to the 9.2 percent fall in food and beverages exports.
  • Seasonally adjusted merchandise import volumes rose 5.4 percent, the highest level since the series began in June 1990.
  • The capital goods index rose 38.1 percent to a new high, and was the main contributor to the rise in imports.
  • All the broad economic category indexes rose.
