  6. It probably would not have been the same 30 years ago as there were fewer channels on television, fewer televisions in households, no videos etc.
  7. Because when people retire they have more time to read or because this group didn’t grow up watching television as children.(Answers may vary).

  2. It is easier to be doing something else while listening to music, as it doesn’t occupy you as much as reading or television does. Many people automatically listen to music when doing another activity.
  3. Before music videos, music lovers may have spent more time listening to music as a primary activity. Now music can be both aural and visual, people might spend less time just listening to music.
  4. Encourage students to collect data comparing time girls vs boys spend doing each activity.
