In the six months ended 31 March 2006:
- The number of non-analog subscribers increased 29 percent from 30 September 2005, to 475,700.
- Subscribers using analog connection technology decreased 6.6 percent from 30 September 2005, to 812,300.
- Although non-analog Internet subscribers per 100 inhabitants have increased, New Zealand retains the same OECD subscriber ranking as at 30 September 2005.
- The number of ISPs operating in New Zealand decreased 14 percent to 57.
