
Highlights
For November 2007 compared with November 2006:
- Consents for new dwellings fell by 43 units, to 2,189.
- Consents for new dwellings fell by 53 units in the North Island and rose by
10 units in the South Island.
- Consents for new apartments fell by 113 units, to 66.
- Residential building consent values rose $28 million, to $695 million.
- Non-residential building consent values rose $25 million, to $401 million.
The trends for both the number of new dwellings and the value of residential buildings are declining.
