- Total guest nights were 3.2 million, up 1 percent on December 2006.

- Total guest nights were 32.9 million, a 4 percent increase on the December 2006 year.

- Nine of the twelve regions recorded higher guest nights than in December 2006.

- All regions showed an annual increase in guest nights.

- Guest nights in caravan parks/camping grounds increased 4 percent compared with December 2006.

- All accommodation types showed higher guest nights than the previous year.
