Highlights


For February 2008 compared with January 2008 (on a seasonally adjusted basis):

  • Total retail sales fell 0.7 percent ($42 million).
  • Core retail sales rose 0.2 percent ($7 million).
  • Fourteen of the 24 retail industries had decreased sales.
  • Motor vehicle retailing fell 5.8 percent ($41 million).
  • Supermarket and grocery stores rose 1.6 percent ($19 million).
