
Highlights
For April 2008 compared with April 2007:
- Consents for new dwellings excluding apartments rose by 24 units, to 1,602.
- Consents for new apartments rose by 567 units, to 771.
- Residential building consent values rose $70 million, to $645 million.
- Non-residential building consent values rose $171 million, to $468 million.
The trend for the number of new dwellings excluding apartments has been declining since June 2007.
