Dwelling occupancy status is used to provide classification information for occupied dwelling type. Any changes to the Statistical Standard for Dwelling Occupancy Status (2009) may affect the Statistical Standard for Occupied Dwelling Type (2009).
The Statistical Standard for Dwelling Occupancy Status follows the basic guidelines as set out in the Principles and Recommendations for Population and Housing Censuses, Revision 2 (United Nations, 2008).
