Living Arrangements

Requirements

The living arrangements questionnaire module must:

• ask people about the people with whom they usually reside, according to the rules of usual residence
• include instructions that any one person can report living with many people, but they should report only one relationship with each of those people
• specify that familial relationships should take precedence over non–familial relationships
• collect, at the minimum, the level 1 categories in the classification, ie close familial relationships
• allow respondents to report that they do not usually reside with other people (ie they live alone)
