Historical population estimates


The following tables are available to download. They include a longer historical time series than the tables contained in Demographic Trends 2007:
  1. Estimated total population by sex, 1926–2007 (year ended 31 December)
  2. Estimated total population by sex, 1937–2008 (year ended 30 June).
