2013 Census confidentialised unit record files: User guide is a reference for 2013 Census confidentialised unit record file (CURF) users. 2013 Census data about households and individuals is now available as CURFs.The 2013 Census household and individual CURFs are now available on application through the Data Lab.
Once a CURF application is approved, you can download the CURF by secure Internet access or we can supply them to you on a CD-ROM.
The 2013 Census CURFs contain a 5 percent sample of census records that have been through a confidentialisation process to make sure that no households or individuals can be identified.
- 2013 household CURF has 77,482 records and 42 variables
- 2013 individual CURF has 217,051 records and 43 variables
The user guide describes briefly how we confidentialised the data to create the CURF, gives examples of the extent the CURF may vary from the original data, and includes a list of variables in each CURF.
