This page has links to annual Linked Employer-Employee Data (LEED) tables in NZ.Stat – our free web tool for creating, finding, customising, and downloading datasets.
Linked Employer-Employee Data (LEED) provides statistics on filled jobs, job flows, worker flows, mean and median earnings for continuing jobs and new hires, and total earnings.
The following links provide a range of annual statistics about the interaction between people and the labour market in New Zealand. They include information on income and earnings transitions, job tenure, multiple job holders, and self-employment. Estimates are available up to the most recent tax year in LEED. Estimates for the most recent year are provisional until the next release (ie for one year).
For technical information about the data, view the LEED annual technical notes.
Part 1: Source of Income | Part 2: Income Transitions | Part 3: Income Source Spells and Job Tenure | Part 4: Holders of Multiple Jobs | Part Five: Self-employment
We have updated the median annual earnings values for wage and salary earners on table 1.2 and table 3.2. We had used the incorrect population to determine the median values. However, this has now been corrected.
Please note: the Part 2: Income Transitions tables will no longer be updated beyond the year ended March 2014. However this data is available on request.
