This annotated bibliography includes peer-reviewed research on disaster management, how populations are affected by natural disasters, and statistical methodologies that can be used to estimate the effects of a natural disaster on populations. These sources discuss examples from other natural disasters that might be useful for researchers analysing changes in Christchurch following the 22 February 2011 earthquake.
