2011 Census update

The strategy for the 2011 Census of Population and Dwellings is minimal change to survey content and the questionnaire.

Consultation on content will occur through existing and ongoing Statistics NZ review processes and a census-specific consultation, which will address proposed changes not covered by existing reviews.

Consultation information is scheduled to be released at the end of May 2008 (slightly later than anticipated), to coincide with the beginning of the public consultation process. This information will outline our proposed census content and detail how you can give us your feedback.

We will update you with more information on these reviews and the census-specific consultation process later in May.
