The Outreach team is based at Statistics New Zealand’s Auckland and Wellington offices. Our objective is to reach out to the public, and we do this by presenting seminars and holding workshops for:
- central and local government
- organisations
- businesses
- communities
- educational institutions
- libraries.
We also attend or run events such as:
- business expos
- industry conferences
- training workshops.
In fact, anywhere there is a demand for knowledge about Statistics NZ products and services, we are happy to provide educational material.
Whether it’s a seminar for Members of Parliament or a workshop for a community library, presentations are:
- free
- customised to the audience
- include practical examples of how Statistics NZ data can be used.
Interaction and feedback is encouraged – the more we know how Statistics NZ data and products are being used, the more we can refine these to meet the needs of all audiences.
