The partnership is with the parent library, but includes their branch libraries.
Service levels
The partnership has a two-tiered service delivery.
Level 1:
Libraries that service populations of 50,000 or more, or libraries that are geographically placed to service certain population areas. There are 30 territorial authority libraries in this category.

Leaving the partnership
- Statistics New Zealand reserves the right to reassess a library's membership if it feels the spirit of the partnership is not being upheld.
- Libraries may relinquish the partnership at any stage by giving written notice.
- See the main accord document for conditions of membership.
New members
If a territorial authority library does not want to join the partnership, any one of its branches may apply to join. (see the conditions set out in the accord document).
Resourcing branch libraries
- Statistics New Zealand will provide promotional resources to the partner library. The partner library may supply any of the resources to its branch libraries.
- Branch libraries can liaise with the contact person at the parent library if they need any more resources.
- Statistics New Zealand will provide one free copy of all its publications to the parent library. If more copies are required, the library may purchase a copy using this email address: publications@stats.govt.nz.
