Tuesday, 5 March 2013 was census day in New Zealand, when every adult and child in the country is counted in the Census of Population and Dwellings. The 2013 Census is particularly important as it is the first census since 2006 – the 2011 Census was cancelled because of the Canterbury earthquakes.
Statistics New Zealand is offering a 2013 Census education resource for primary, intermediate, and secondary schools to use during the first term and throughout the rest of the year.
