The 2011 Census not held
The 2011 Census was not held on 8 March 2011 as planned, due to the Christchurch earthquake on 22 February 2011.
The 2011 Census education resource can be used by teachers as a classroom resource around the topic of census despite the fact that a census did not take place in 2011.
The resource is available online in Schools Corner and you can download it in English and te reo Māori. It is self-contained, fun, print-friendly, and easy to use. You can also download related English and te reo Māori activities.
