Totals shown by the courts represent combined figures for the applicable District Court and High Court in that particular location. Where cases have been transferred between courts, the court of the most recent appearance is stated.

For historic data relating to closed courts, figures have been incorporated into totals for the court now servicing the same geographic area.

The Court of Appeal is included in the category "Unknown Court" at the regional level.

The following table shows which locations have High Courts, and also shows which courts are included within the four Court Regions that are used in the tables.
